There are no fewer than 9 old flax mills on this site! These basins, dug into the valley floor and lined with stone walls, were used to immerse the flax, an operation which then facilitated the separation of the fibres. This process, known as retting, was banned because it polluted the watercourses, but the restoration work carried out by the Skol ar C'hleuzioù association has ensured that this rural heritage lives on today.
