Mégalithes de Tossen Keller

  • (2500 BC) Elliptic in form and open to the east, the group at Tossen Keller comprises 58 blocks in all, shale for the smaller ones and granite for the larger ones. Some weigh up to 5 or 6 tons. Discovered in Penvénan, the group has been rebuilt on the banks of the Tréguier. No trace of a burial chamber was found; on the other hand, two central fireplaces as well as some pieces of broken Neolithic pottery, a dolerite axe and several shards of flint scrapers were discovered. Discovered in Penvénan, the group has been rebuilt on the banks of the Tréguier. The site was occupied by man during the Iron Age, and other changes were made in the Middle Ages.
