Immersion in this small city with a rich medieval past

Fortress built in the 11th century on a promontory overlooking the Jaudy, the city is divided into two.
The lower town known as the “bas-du-pont”, that of the ragpickers, a true colored colony, and that of the roofers who still resonate with their specific language, the “tunodo”.
The low city and in particular its port (one of the oldest of the northern coast) also testify to the economic past of the city thanks to the traffic of salt and wine but also later with the transport of slates.
Then the high city, Martray square, lined with beautiful Gothic houses and dwellings of notables in granite or with wood sides of the XVth, XVIth and XVIIth centuries.
